Scale and Mineral Deposits on Faucets are Typical Indicators of Hard Water

According to the Water Quality Association, one of the easiest ways to tell if your city water is hard water is looking at your faucets and seeing if there is mineral or scale build up on them.  (See the photos to the right.  Do your faucets have build up like these?)
